Video of Hines Park Pump track

Postby DynoDon » December 14th, 2019, 7:21 am

I just found this video, I just opened this fall, the pump track is next to the dog park, located on the south side of Edward Hines Park Drive, 1/4 mile west of Merriman Rd, in Westland, Michigan,, there is a wood ramp type bike park next to this, and some bandit trails. The pump track is the star of the show.

FYI, MCMBA did quite a bit of trail work out there over the summer, so the trails you saw may very well be sanctioned builds, not bandit trails.

I've ridden those trails before, many years ago, there are more all up, and down Hines, someday they may connect more of them with better flow then the flood prone trails that gave been there for years. The pump track is getting plenty of use, great addition to the park.

Now that is a proper pump track.
It is to bad the pump track at Stoney was never that nice.
I guess I should not talk, as I never helped build the pump track at stoney.
I did help setting the big teeter totters and then the park pulled them out - I quickly lost interest.
