I first though you were talking about self studding tires.
This method is really cheap, just a small box of sheet metal screws.
Sheet metal screw studs yeilds better tracion on ice that any manufactured studded tire,
However the big drawback is a lot of added weight from both the screws and the tube liner.
The other caution is the screws are very sharp and will cut you, even after years of use.
They are so sharp, the sheet metal screw studs will scratch and mark a cement drive.
You buyer can judge
$360 for 2 tires or $15/100 screws , labor ( about 3 hours) and extra weight - use an old tube as a liner.
Offer the 2 tires up for $100 , you might get lucky!
