I recently got hold of a '76 Schwinn Typhoon and will be making it rideable (klunker ). However, my search for replacement bearings is coming up empty. Any help finding some new ones will be appreciated.
I cannot help you find parts....but this sounds like the exact bike that I had growing up. It was too big for me when I got it, but grew into into it fast. Great memories!
Judging by the age of the bike, your best bet might be to pull the hub and bottom bracket apart and start looking for loose ball bearings that match the size of what's in there. If the bearing races are trashed, then you have a bigger problem.
