Creaking Fox fork - what are my options?

Postby mynameismatt » August 10th, 2018, 1:49 pm

I have a creaking Fox 32 Float. It's either creaking at the joint between the steerer tube and the crown, or the crown and a stanchion. I've attempted the "locktite fix" on both the stanchion and steerer tube, but it has not helped at all. The creek is getting worse, to the point that it is almost constant while on singletrack. The noise is driving me insane.

A few questions:
1. Is it dangerous to ride with this fork?
2. What are my options regarding repair/replace? It's a 2014 and not the original owner, so I'm sure warranty is not an option. Would replacing the CSU be a valid option? Or do I need to simply replace the fork altogether? If so, recommendations?

thanks for any help.
