Hello
I had Steve create this Forum page so we can communicate better in regards to the Cannonsburg Ski Area Skills Park.

As many of the users of the park know, the features are sorely in need of re-design or repair. Our Skills Area Coordinator doesn't have the time anymore as family and children have taken priority. Many of the dirt features are being made out of sandy soil and that just won't cut it. The WMMBA has a line on some clay that we can bring in for better soil.

Bottom line is we need a new leader/coordinator out there. If any of you reading this would like to step up and take on this project please contact me.

I would be interested in Volunteering my time and efforts to the Ski Area. I'm usually out on weekends digging and trying to maintain what little is left. I have noticed that others have been building jumps and are not doing a great job. Let me know what I can do to help. My email is warnerb8@gmail.com

Please thank Brandon for becoming the new Skills Park coordinator! I met with him today and we discussed the improvements needed and the importance of not messing with the features. Maintaining is one thing but for every park user to be building or changing the features is not productive.

If you ride here often please try hook up with Brandon and work as a team that is on the same page.

Bandit, rogue or private building is not allowed. You are not covered by the WMMBA's insurance.

Can one get to the skills area without riding the whole trail? I've never been, so I'm not familiar with the layout. I'll be by that way tomorrow, all be it bikeless, and kinda wanted to wander out to see it.

yes. go across the maintenance bridge and head left across the base of the double chair, take the two track to the right into the woods and the skills park is located there.

Never ridden there before but I've been wanting to. It would be a good reason to get out there, count me in for some help. I can do most week day evenings and Saturday mornings.
