Rode it today. It's packed nice and ready to ride. A bit bumpy from frozen foot prints and a few icy spots but nothing bad. Parking lots are the most technically challenging parts of the trail.

Nah... those roads will be iced over with huge frozen ruts.

Almost forgot to mention, saw evidence that a 4 wheeled ATV jumped on the trail at 5 mile shortcut and rode the trail to Dursum. Hopefully an isolated thing and not something that will turn into a big problem when the snow melts.

I checked it out again today while riding some back roads. Huge difference from just a couple of days ago. The ice layer is now turning to slush and some bare ground is starting to peak out so I didn't ride it. My guess is this weekend it will not be good for riding unless you can catch it early in the morning (if frozen) and with some studded tires as I suspect it will be really icy from everything melting right now.

Excellent Cramer thanks for the update. I'll be staying off!

Thanks for the recon CRAMER P.I. Rick and TC will be in the chopper...eye in the sky baby. Higgins will be on the ground with Zeus and Apollo. We need to keep the motorized rigs off the trail.

Looking forward to getting on the trail

I haven't been on the trail itself but certainly you are right, they're full of puddles. They are being ridden though.

Rode on Friday and the trails were near perfect. There is a huge mud hole right at the beginning and the third section has some mud holes. People are riding around the holes to avoid getting their bike dirty, thus the trail is getting wider in those area. I rode through the mud and one part it was pretty freaking deep. I also noticed there are quite a few spots where people cut the corner to avoid bumps, tree roots or anything else that requires effort.

Today I became a mountain biker. I saw the sign and went left . Made my day, month, and year. Thanks to whoever put that up. Will you go to the left? 8)

Rode this trail for the first time this morning...it's frickin' awesome! I rode the ski area first and then went down to the game area and I was blown away. This trail rocks! It reminds me a lot of my home trail (Ionia) but way more technical. I will definitely be back and will bring a buddy next time.

Big oak down in the last section near the tree bridge we ride under. Keep an eye open. A decent size Pine down as well in the prior section but we moved it. Trail is a blast!

The trail direction change was unauthorized by wmmba or land manager.
Last day to ride there is today! Hunting season starts Sunday.
