Rode Torn Shirt for the first time today. Maybe not the best trail to ride after not riding for a long time, after all of the holiday food and booze, and 23 degrees out, but it was fun. Trail is perfect. Talked to Don for a bit in the parking lot after too. Nice to meet you!

All the trails were great in Brighton there were some greasy spots in the sunny areas late, but no big deal, sure was fun, I got to see Joe McNiel out the blitzing, that guy is fast,,, I was setting on a bench on the phone I seen someone flying, I know him and though it was him, he went by without stopping, I knew he was on the clock.. LOL... I seen him in the parking lot,,, I should have told him I did Torn Shirt in 32 minutes.. LOL he's not stupid, he wouldn't believe me... LOL but he is stupid fast,, Torn Shirt in 34 minutes or better.. zooooooooooom....... thats fast.. great to see him, and all the other people out there, riding, hiking, running, lots of people smiling..great day..

Murray lake/lost loop section was great yesterday at 530pm. The beginning is soft and wet still, everything there after was pretty much covered in leaves and great to ride. Still soft here and there, not super fast so a little more time and it will be great. id say its probably hero dirt if you go early in the AM. Im extremely out of shape though so i felt slow and gassed.

I was out to Brighton today, I rode Murray Lake, the frost is still in the ground, there was ice on the trails, cookie cuts all over, it was frozen early, when it warmed up I left, it was getting slimmy, not good for riding, I did pick up a ton of sticks/branches, so when its ready there will be fewer sticks, We need plenty of warm rain/weather to get the frost out of the ground, so the water has somewhere to go, its not really rideable yet. Now that its warming up over night it won't even be good in the mornings, we need to wait, there are enough ruts out there now.

Could have given the above 2 trail reports without leaving the house. Given this weeks weather and that we are currently in freeze/thaw conditions it is not even remotely surpriseing about current trail conditions .
