Awesome. Thanks a lot. I don't think I parked in riverbend last time I was there, that might have been my problem. Is it easy to find?

trees down at Burch...11-8-05

Postby plunderspunk » November 9th, 2005, 4:18 pm

there are several downed trees from high winds over the weekend...(about 1/2 mile into the "praire" from mcnamara's, and then a couple in Dave's maze and Annies...) you can walk around them but watch out for the thorns! GD

THANKS!

Postby Zak » November 10th, 2005, 7:48 am

Thanks for the tip!! I will get out there this weekend and get them cleaned up.

The one in the praire is not on our trail (its the park's trail) but we will take care of it anyway.

So there are trees in Anne'ss and the Maze. Any more come to mind?? I bet there are a few more after that wind storm last night!

Thanks!!

Last night I recieved a call from the Ingham County Parks Burchfield Park Manager. He wanted me to post up that some bikes have been riding Burchfield and that the Park, all three entrances (Burchfield, Riverbend, and McNamara) are closed to bikes. Since there is snow on the ground, the XC Skiiers are out in force and he wants it reserved for them. It has not been a big deal in the past due to lack of snow, but this season he will be cracking down since the park is ski-able. Please give the skiers their time in the park.

Thanks!

The trails are wet still from what I have heard. I would imagine it will be a few more weeks before the park clears them for riding.

Burchfield takes awhile to dry out, since it is right next to the Gr River.
