No, reports are that the trail's too soft.

There's an MCMBA chapter meeting tonight at Baker's in Milford as an alternative ;-)

cleared the downed trees people were rerouting around.

loops west of the creek are pretty chewed up - avoid if the ground isn't hard frozen.

The warm weather melted the mud and it was too soft, we left.

Inch of packed snow with ice underneath. Either ride with acute awareness or bring studs. I did the latter and had no issues where others spun out or dropped.

Yes it is cold. Other than that, you have to be the reporter tonight, since there really is no more professional reporting anymore, just opinion... :)

Beer and inside is the mode for tonight!

Here is my report! Alain was kind enough to snow shoe some of the trail and then he paved the way for us as well. We made it to mile marker 6. There was absolutely no tracks going that way. You should be able to get 6 miles in + the green going back which looks like has had a lot of traffic.

Ride while frozen in the AM. Studs recommended. Lots of ice. Perfect conditions!

Lakeshore Park/ Tree Farm is getting there. The first mile if you start at 12.5 and Dixon is super soft and rutted up, but good soil conditions for fat bikes to steamroll the ruts. I’d avoid if for a few days on skinnies.

So, fat or plus tires, go for it but try to aim for the high parts of the ruts to flatten them out. Skinnies, please wait for a few days, depending on if we get rain.

Lakeshore Park is in great shape - enjoy!

We're planning a trail day on 4/27 starting at 9.

There's lots to do. Our primary focus is finishing a reroute on the second half of Loki’s Loop, up to where it meets the Star Wars section. This will involve lopping, raking and stump removal, plus some trail surface sculpting. Once the reroute is rideable, we’ll close off the old trail. Another focus will clearing out invasive brush all around the pump track to spiffy up the area for this year’s special Relay. If we have a big enough crew, there are plenty of other projects like the rebuilding log piles, trimming, deberming, etc.

Lunch provided!

Hey Loren- Do you know if I'm just getting worse at riding or is there something different about the SECOND uphill log pile exiting the expert section that makes it exceptionally harder to actually clear? I mentioned this previously but I've literally been riding Tree Farm for almost 10 years now and I've cleared both piles probably 95% of the time, and the first pile maybe 100% of the time. Now the first one is still 95-100% but the second one is like maybe 10%. I always spin out on the second one but haven't stopped to really examine it for deterioration or something that would be causing it. Since I've only gotten faster and stronger everywhere else it seems hard to believe I've just gotten worse at clearing THIS ONE log pile lol
