I would say yes. The trail seems to dry up within hours of an isolated rain.

Got in 2 laps Monday after work. Trail was perfect, a few face slappers. Much cooler than one would think in the woods and creating your own breeze. Another enjoyable close after work wind me down ride.
Wake up happy.

I should have a free weekend so let us know how that goes and if assistance is needed still by then. I need an excuse to get the mtb back out after a 2 month road hiatus.

What size trees?

Any idea on how Hickory is doing after this rain? Looking to take a mental-health day tomorrow and get some riding in.

Rode Commerce at about 6:30 yesterday evening. There are 2 trees down. The first is right before the "bald spot" where the trail comes back on itself several times (its a low lying area perhaps 1.5 miles into the trail, where there is a small gravelly mound that you ride over). This tree is large and the trail is impassible. There is another tree down right before the trail comes back to that same the "bald spot"....this one isn't as bad, but will still need to be cleared.

That "bald spot" is the end of Red House and the beginning of Hairpin Alley...historically this is a loitering area for local BMXers due to the terrain
I cleanup the one in Red House, made a bypass around the rest of it which will fall later.... rebuilt the log pile just around the corner from that
Then worked on the big leaner in HairpinAlley... it didn't fall as predicted and created a second project so just walk around that and we'll clean it up soon -
The trail has been improved
thanks for all the reports
back to riding
See you on the trail

Thanks Tim!

I dragged a medium sized limb off the trail. Cleared lots of deadfall.

But I couldn’t do anything for those big ones.

Trail was in good shape this afternoon.

Any more updates on recent trail conditions? Seems like some areas are drying out and I have some availability this weekend to help some people clear some stuff still out. I've been meaning to get out and check the one that I flattened out and made a log pile over to see if it stayed together. Haven't hit trails much since then due to work and then the rain the past couple weeks. I'm due to offer some volunteer hours again.

If there are down trees that require chainsaw, what sections are they in? This info is very helpful.

Knowing there are trees down without knowing which section they are in is not so helpful.

It's pretty simple really.
