As a reminder -

Regardless, kill it. Kill it all.

Loren is right about respecting poison ivy - learned my lesson after a hospital visit from a bad case a while back...

If the vines are not hairy - its very likely Oriental Bittersweet and will have bright orange roots.

Most of them definitely aren't poison ivy, I've gotten pretty good at identifying the vines at least from having a mix of poison ivy and wild grape vines in my back yard. Surprisingly, not oriental bittersweet since I'm only a few miles from the Hick. Everything I looked at, and that's in the pictures, is the bittersweet, but I didn't dig too far in there since I was only concerned with the stuff hanging out into the trail at the time and not having proper tools to deal with a lot of it.

Hickory Glen will be one of the trails used this coming weekend for the Milford Bike Fest and Trail Challenge event. This is not a race, but a fun family-friendly event. Come on out and enjoy this great trail!

Did a ride this morning. Conditions are great overall. One large puddle and a few small mud spots.

Large tree down over the trail around Red House section will need a chainsaw. ~20" diameter.

I took my son out there yesterday, good conditions, mud at the bottom of the mixing bowl. Love this trail, if I had one thing to change, that section could use better signage.

Planning to add a small wood structure near the beginning of section 8 - - and some of my help is not able to make it - - I could use a couple people to help transport materials and dig post holes, ect..

This Sunday - June 23
Meet near the cell phone tower (north of the trailhead)
We should be unloading materials starting between 11:15 and 11:30 am.
