Western: Ionia

Ionia is pretty much the only ice free option in the greater GR area today. Mainly frozen dirt goodness!

I wouldn't say "ice free," but there's less ice here than most places.

I rode this trail for the first time in a little over a decade yesterday. Used to live in Lowell, but now live on the east side. Been working out of my companies plant in Ionia and finally brought my bike. Was in good shape yesterday. The beginner loop was a bit overgrown in areas but perfectly rideable. The long loop was near perfect other then a few semi muddy areas in the exact same areas I remember them being on the way out. Glad I met a fellow rider in the parking lot that offered to ride with me as I had no idea the new rail trail was now incorporated into the beginner loop or that the bridge went out.

The new extension of the long loop needs some riders on it!

Rode the main trail yesterday. Trail is in great shape, even the muddy section was in decent condition!
