Big Tree Down on Trail (1.6m)

Postby Roto Vegas Rider » September 28th, 2005, 7:49 pm

Rode last night and found a good size tree down crossing the trail twice at a corner. It's near .8m and pretty "tuff" to cross.

Anyone got a saw?

The usual greasy spots are still happening and some extra deadfall wood here and there keep you on your toes.

Otherwise in OK shape.
Git on, shut up, and pedal!

Fixed Log crossing at end of first loop

Postby Rod » October 28th, 2005, 9:33 pm

I went out today and did a little fix on the trail about a 100 yards or so from where the trail pops out from the first section

There was dirt piled up against a log and it had worn away some but I piled a load more dirt up so it should hold better then it did. The dirt was very dry so it didn't compact well and I ran out of light. It is ridable, just may be soft at the moment. My oldest son cleared leaves off the trail around the area too while I was working. So the dirt is in place it just needs some water and some better side support to keep the dirt from migrating out the side. I'll hopefully be finishing that up next week.

Captains log, star date, 22nd of December 2005...too much crusty snow and too heavy of foot travel has left the Munson park Maze un rideable at this time..unless power is at an all time high. it would not be a enjoyable time to ride. check back soon for further info. closing.

i tried riding munson after work today its pretty much unrideable still unless you follow the atv tracks until they decide to go off thru the woods taking down saplings and whatever else got in the way whoever it was left the trail a mess

Road the trail Wednesday the 18th of jan..did a night ride in the snow..trail conditions perfect, alittle tough goin out but once in the woods it was primo..i was the first person back there so breakin the trail was sweet......and at night...it looked the part out of the Shining when Ol Jack is chaisng Danny through the maze.if you ever get a chance to ride Munson at night in the snow do it. with all the tree cover the snow just hangs from the branches and creates this awesome scene!!!

Rode tonight, 2/8. The only word I can use to describe the trail is CRUNCHY.

The trail is frozen but there is alot of crusty ice that made it hard to ride.

I apologize if I sound like a newbie.....I am.

Is Munson dry enough to ride? Or is it only to be used during winter months?

Thanks!
