Did you cross the creek? If so how was the "wet" side?

I was there last trail day and will be there saturday.

Sounds like a challenge to me!!

Any idea on what we will be working on?

I think the "dry" half has all been raked. I know there was mention of new trail across the creek, but with high water levels that will be a challenge.

Yeah, I still have the blisters from helping to rake the front. I have no idea what our fearless leaders have in store for us tommorrow. I just show up and do what I am told!!

So I dont end up apologizing again I better not say much more about trail days

I understand there is now a method to get across the creek without getting wet...

And I also heard that there will be hotdogs on the grille after the trail day.

Did someone get landowner permission to get in from the north side?

That would be the only possible way, unless someone built a raft. Which be even better. Should I bring my pirate flag?

mr_opjones-

Funny picture.

It was fun we got a lot trail work done today. Ruby is looking real nice. A lot of hardworking good people showed up today, I think almost 16. There was a boat to get a cross the creek, I have some pictures. Funny.

I hope you get of work soon.

Basic trail maintenance, some work on the back side and Rubyrider and I built some rockgardens :) One was dubbed the "grave" All that and we couldnt ride the trail because the skies opened up

Sweet pic OP

I hope I didnt p i s s anybody off with this post

RUBY is OPEN, OPEN, OPEN !!!!!!! Plase be patient w/ the trail because we are working on some sections to improve them by race day on jully 17th... Both the front and back are ridable. Please take note of the weather two days prior to riding because hard down pores up there in that area are going to make the trail very wet and unenjoyable to ride. check our team web site for good directions, teamsandbag.com have fun and please remember to pay the two dollars for the day or twenty dollars for the year... mike

Still wet

Postby daurand » May 18th, 2005, 8:55 am

Rode Ruby (dry side?) Tuesday morning - still muddy in many places, but all were passable. New signs helped a lot, looked good. I seems like there are a lot of trees in the middle of the trail  I don't think I will take the tandem on this trail! Will have to go again when it is a little dryer and attempt the crossing to the dark (wet) side.

Thanks for all the work that has been done.
I fear Teeter Totters.

Ruby Mud is real thick. Trail is in good condition from all the hardwork at the trail days, but you can't do anything about the Ruby Mud. If you ride throw on your muuuuuuuuuuuuuuud tyres.

Rode Ruby for the first time today. It reminded me of Bloomer in many ways...steep climbs, ridge trails, tight corners. We were unable to cross the river  ,(WAY too deep/wide) so we were only able to ride 2.5 miles of trail. Should be an interesting XC race...there are almost no passing zones. I'll go back when the river has receded to check out the other side.

RUBY CAMPGROUND

Postby Phat_Back » June 6th, 2005, 12:18 pm

Just rode a couple laps @ Ruby yesterday....The trail looks great and is 99% rideable. Still very challenging.

For those newbies----make the river crossing!!! It is way worth it!!

The trail is well marked with the new signs.

See you at the Trail Day this Saturday (06/11-05)....9AM

FYI: The river is about 18 inches deep......
