Trails are free of snow and have dried out nicely. There is still a lot of debris on the trails but we are working on getting them cleaned up. Not that many downed trees.

The Outer loop is in fine shape, however I'll skip the Swedish Fiddle next time. Saw 14+ other bikers out there.
See you on the trail

for all the latest in grooming updates at the big m and ludington school forest, check out http://www.shorelinecyclingclub.org/win ... onditions/

total groomed mileage at big m is around 18 and in ludington it's 7 or 8. both trail system are rocking as groomers have been trying to stay on top of over 60 inches of snow just in december. maps available at the shoreline cycling club website as well.

I was incredulous when I read that the Outer Loop was close to summer conditions, but the conditions were insanely good all weekend. The track sled creates a narrow tread with banked turns--really impressive grooming.

Why skip Swedish Fiddle? Because of the concentration of other riders, or...?
