Thursday was GREAT, Friday was not. Saturday (today) is probably good before the thaw, bad after. Might need to wait until Sunday morning by now?

Thanks, I'll head out and check it out... if it's melting then I'll just go for a cruise on the paved route. Peace

Please let us know how you find the trail. Enjoy your ride!

Too much mud. I'll try tomorrow morning when it's hopefully frozen.

With these temperatures fluctuating and the fact that Winter will not leave, everyone should plan on riding pavement or Dirt/Gravel roads until the trails are able to finally thaw and dry out. Why risk injury and excessive cleaning to your bike and more importantly major damage to our trails by getting out for a quick ride in the mud?

With more freeze/thaw, River Bends is and will be muddy.

We will be out building new trail again tomorrow April 8th from 9am-3pm and will be posting more dates soon.

Well, I was pressed for time yesterday afternoon, so went to Riverbends instead of Stoney. It was about 80% ready, but the rest was muddy. I did my walk-a-bike around those spots, but it was not very fun as a result. Regretfully there were already lots of ruts in those muddy spots. Obviously people just blasted through. What is the protocol for fixing muddy ruts? Seems handling those while still wet might be better than waiting for it to dry? Anyhow, I'll be looking out for trail day dates to help out there.

I believe there is a trail day scheduled for tomorrow but it is focused on the new section across the river. As for fixing muddy ruts, generally if they're still very wet there's not much you can really do about them. If they're somewhat dryer you can smash them down by foot or fat tire. I've cleared debris from trail that was blocking drainage now and then and there is something very satisfying seeing a big puddle suddenly drain away to nothing by simply moving some leaves and blocking soil (limited).

Biked there this evening. Trail is 90+% dry with a few moist spots - if stay to the left at marker 7 and you'll be fine - puddles if you go down to the right.... heard that there's rain in the forecast for tomorrow though. :(

A bit of a newb to River Bends dry-out time. Anyone been there since the rain this past weekend?

Thanks.

Our group ride is there tonight so those that called it hopefully know.

It usually can suffer after torrential rain but its recovery time is improving with all the work that has been done in the last few years.

Trail was good yesterday. Just a couple small spots with water, which were avoidable.

Rained like *beep* overnight in Royal Oak. Not sure how much rain RB got but it typically takes several days to get to a rideable status after a rain.
