Does Anyone Ride the Purple Trail

Postby mjpo » March 5th, 2012, 11:18 am

This is not on any maps, but it is the beginner trail that runs next to Randys Maze and Annies Playhouse.

Anyone use it? Thinking about a reroute.....

I rode it one time because I saw it, and had never ridden it.

I've ridden it a few times. It serves a purpose, but doesn't really seem like it gets much use. I would wager that most riders on it are just exploring or took a wrong turn off the "advanced" trail.
If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem; now get off my lawn!

I didn't use to, but would add it in sometimes after we routed the TT through there. I just like having more distance without rehashing sections. I'm all for utilizing as much of the network as possible.

My wife and some other girls ride it. Can the reroute leave the trail still rideable as is?

Most of the reroute concepts have the direction reversing, and that could be an issue.

I ride it on occasion myself, but I don't know if it has the flow of some of the other places, the Novi.

I don't know, is that an issue with you?

In addition to this post, I also sent out an email. I got a lot of feedback. Well, enough to tell me I was kind of heading down the wrong road. The purple trail will remain unchanged. I am happily surprised to learn that this trail gets more use than I thought. The point was also made that IF we ever get the jump park open, the purple trail will provide relatively quick and direct access to the area. Thanks to everyone for the feedback. I will add the purple trail to the maps and keep everything as is.

Phew, change can be scary.

At least there is still 'HOPE' though, right?
