Is it possible for those racing to get in without paying for parking?

No, we still have to pay for parking. The city waives the rental fees for us and lets us book the whole back half of the park for the race. The parking fees are how they make money for this event. Think of it as chipping in on reserving the park!

Ellen... we will need some help. Volunteers will be getting there around 7:30 and will be easily identified by their bright colored t-shirts. If you meet up with any of us, we can help find a way to help out. Parking in the morning is going to be a huge job. After that there will be other opportunities as well. As the day goes on things tend to pop up that we need help with. Plus, it's fun just to hang out once all the work is done!

Ah, hey! That's nice then. I mind paying for parking much less now.
