Thursday Night Gravel Grinder 9/13

Postby ocramaj » August 14th, 2012, 11:50 am

Come meet up with me in Almont for an evening of Gravel Grinding. We'll meet up at the Capac State Bank on the SE corner of Hough (39mile) and Van Dyke. I'll be heading out at 7:00 pm sharp. Be sure to bring a light as this ride will go into the night. I plan on riding 45 to 50 miles. The pace will be determined by the group, but I like to average around 16mph.(this is not set in stone.) The terrain is rolling with roughy 1300ft of climbing.

This is intended to be friendly no drop group ride.

Hope to see you there!

Pm me if you plan on coming out or if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Jeff

Welp, You guys missed a great ride. I guess I can't really expect much on such short notice... Anyhow, I will be doing this or some variation every Tuesday. The only thing that will keep me from riding is Severe weather. For those of you that are interested I've saved this as a course on Garmin Connect and posted a link to the map.

Hopefully someone can make it out next Tuesday 8/21/12 :P

Hey buddy, I'll gladly join you on your next dirt road/ gravel/ whatever ride... i dumped the gears on my bike, however, and although this time I am running a tall gear ( for me, that is...lol) 16mph may be a bit quick. Let me know.

Awesome! I don't care what speed we ride just as long as we ride. I'll have details for this weeks ride tomorrow. Do you have lights?

I like to have at least 1.5 / 2 hours of battery life. I ride with a helmet light, bar light, tail light with spare batteries and a flash light. Maybe bit overkill but it gets really dark out on the back roads.

Thanks

No ride this week... I literally wore the skin off my ass last Thursday and it needs to heal.
