Morton~Taylor Trail Tour 9/20

Postby SANTA_CRUZ » September 14th, 2012, 7:16 am

Hello all, I am thinking of conducting one of the classic
Morty T trail tours next Thursday the 20th (weather permitting). Again, as in the past I will do the first one at 4:45
and the second one about 6:00. Just meet in the main parking lot and we'll go from there, ride a complete loop and
then repeat for the later crowd. I will probably bring some liquid refreshments and anyone is welcome to do the same.

This is a no-drop ride at varying speeds and we usually run a sweeper so that nobody gets left behind and is able to enjoy the experience with good conversation afterwards. If you can't make this one, I will be doing at least one more.

Hope to see a lot of the old faces and some new ones, too !
Gary

Wish I could make it today, as I've been wanting to explore this trail with someone that knows it well. :-( Hopefully next time!

Even though I left with a busted brake lever I still had a blast. Thanks for showing me around and putting up with my general pokeyness.

After I peeled off from the pack I saw these two by the power lines. Amazing the wildlife out in this trail.

Nice pics, Chris
Too bad about your brake lever, I hope it doesn't set you back too long. I think Pricepoint is running a sale right now on brake parts.
Good meeting you last night and we'll have to do it again.

That was a great time ! Thanks to Mike, James, Travis, Sally, Jim, Chris and Yoshiko for coming out to have some
fun on two wheels, have a few brews and talk bikes. Five of us stuck around until the sun was down.
Gotta do that again soon, maybe next week or the one after ?
Love the deer pictures ! It's a good sign that we've seen so many young deer running around, that buck has been busy !

Greg, sure carpooling would be cool. Can your vehicle carry 2 bikes ? Where would you want to meet ?

I can carry 2 more bikes/riders. We could meet at M-36/23 park and ride near McD's. You pick the time.

Thx Gary for the tour last week! I'm glad I made it and that the trails are laid out in such a way that a late comer can still join the group. Those trails are unique and quite fun! It was nice meeting you and others.

Btw, You got the 'Yo' part right ;)

Yoshiko, I am SO sorry !
I knew I should have had you right it down for me so it would stick better.
I went back to my post and changed it. Won't happen again and I am so happy that you enjoyed yourself and are welcome to come back anytime.

When you're out of Schlitz you're out of beer.
