In search of... V-brakes

Postby Rustyton » October 14th, 2019, 7:24 am

Hey all... I would like to finish my vintage race bike for my son to ride. I am looking for either XT or XTR V-brakes. (These had extra clearance for larger tires.) Levers are not needed. It is ok if they aren't perfect, neither is my frame. Thanks.

Is there a "vintage bike" race category? Curious on this ... as I have 1998 26" litespeed Ti bike with full working XTR components including brakes ....... but not piecing them out

As an FYI, if you can't find anything the modern Deore T610s work with wide tires -- I'm running them with a Surly Extraterrestrial 26x2.5 up front on an old Trek and there's plenty of clearance.

Thanks for the heads up. I may have to go that route if I can't land anything.
