Tree down about 1.5 miles from the 12.5 mile entrance. Otherwise, good conditions this morning.

Trail was awesome Tuesday night. Ride while frozen under 32. No discrimination against skinnies at the farm. I rode my 29er no issues. Packed and about a foot wide. ImageCold weather will be even better.

Large tree down a couple hundred yards past marker 5. Trail coordinators have been notified.
Good trail pack.

The tree that was down just after the 12 1/2 mile parking are at Tree Farm is now 100% cleared. The parts I walked were 100% fine but the spots I worked on will likely be soft for a bit. There were a lot of riders out.

I know it is super nice out today, but please avoid Lakeshore Park / Tree Farm. We got hammered with rain, and riding today (4/8) will rut things up and undo many of the repairs we've been working on. Thanks!

Kudos on the trail work to make Tree Farm less muddy.

Just my two cents, but if you are going to cover up the tree roots, I would prioritize the ones in sharp corners which definitely add to the pucker factor when they are wet. The two that come to mind are the 90 degree right hand turn coming out of the big crater and a less sharp 90 degree right hand turn at the top of the hill before the little craters.

I was really hoping it had dried out enough to ride today, but it hasn't. The people who are riding it are putting ruts in many of the corners.

The trail was in great shape this morning. A few soft spots but generally grippy and fast.

It was an eventful ride this morning. A lady lost her dog, which was found. A group of riders seemed to have lost a rider. I hope they were found! And I saw a helmet on the inside of one of the turns towards to top of the last hill, about 100 yards from the end of the trail. I thought about picking it up but I didn't have a good way of carrying it for the rest of my route and I honestly don't know where I would have left it given the Lakeshore parking lot is still closed. It looked like it may have been kid size.

How does one lose a dog that is on a leash?

That helmet may have had a head in it. Glad you didn’t pick it up.

Rode Lakeshore with my son yesterday and must say the TC is doing a great job. I like the berms and the trail rides better than ever now. My boys love this trail and really enjoy the skills area.

First ride at lakeshore this year and really like some of the work that has been done on trail. Like how they smoothed out some of the rooty areas especially in the pines area.
One spot that I do think needs a reroute or work is at far end of lost loop where trail is very close to the Rouge river. Where the turn is leading into that area there are some very funky roots this year and I messed up and nearly ended up in River. Is theer anyway for this to be smoothed out or maybe a short reroute? just asking.
Thanks for all the hard work out there.

Ha I like that little spot by the river if you screw up you might get wet. :) Hey it's not like out west where you might fall off a cliff!
