Less water and mudd than expected. Puddles are evaporating faster than my paycheck at Whole Foods. Be great riding from now on but expect crowds.

The trail was in pretty good shape this morning. Numerous soft spots in the usual places but no sloppy mud.

The trail was nicely grippy this morning. Get out before the storms come.

Many thanks to the awesome trail crew who have done an excellent job filling in the holes where water likes to collect.

It did NOT rain at Maybury today, so it is good to go for a great weekend for mountain biking!

Trail was great on Sunday, nice work on drainage and gravel additions in usual low, soft spots that are typically slow to dry. Disappointing to see at least two or three new bandit / cheater lines by all the first timers/rookies. Shouldn’t those be logged off to prevent the trail from getting excessively wide? Strava times gonna be in low 20’s soon.

One of those is a temporary detour around a mudd hole. Hope to leave it open until we can repair/fill in the mudd hole. The others I can't speak for. I've seen several new lines developing the past few years but since the original routes are still rideable I don't see any harm.

I like the new line on the bottom of the climb about 1mile in after the Beck entrance... allows you to go up the hill with more speed!

What's up with the cheater line going around the two trees on that fast section? I'm not a coordinator, but I'm blocking that off next time i go. I run 800mm bars and fly between those two trees at full speed. If you can't make it between those trees, maybe you should ride the paved path instead.

I saw that line last time I went through there as well. This is kind of mentality that turns new riders away from the sport. That's awesome that you can go between the trees. Does it really hurt you that not everyone has that skill level and might not be comfortable with that yet?

there have been hundreds of new riders out on the trails this spring. If you know any of them, try working with them on technique and building confidence on going through those tress at speed, and let them know why it bothers you so much when you see new lines you feel compelled to ruin it for them.
