3. Providing it is only a few yards to the right to raise the trail a few feet to get out of the flood plane. Don’t lose the character of that climb. It is an important feature of the trail.

Trail Day 03/14/20 @ 9am - 4pm

Come help us cut some new trail! We're doing a much needed reroute on Blue. We're going to get rid of the dangerous turn under the RR bridge.

MCMBA will provide bagels, lunch, and we'll have a good assortment of tools. Helpful items to bring if you have them: shovels, loppers, bow saws, and work gloves. It'll be a little chilly in the morning, so dress accordingly.

We are meeting in the 1st turnout on the left, 1/4 mile after passing under the railroad trestle. (Between Riverbend and Spring Mill Pond)

Any help you can give will be appreciated!

#1 or #3. Let's keep as much vert and difficulty in the trail as possible.

I understand the reason for the new blue reroute but I miss the old trail section that was cut off already. The climbs always got my heart up and the sweeping turns at the top and down to the gravel pit section were super fun. Hopefully there is a plan to add additional single track past the parking lot instead of that wide open climb section?

That said, thank you to all of the volunteers that build and maintain the trails. I am not trying to come across as negative or unappreciative, just offering my 2 cents.

Large tree down on yellow, about 75 yards after the bridge off Kensington rd. I'm sure the park staff is on limited hours during these weeks so be careful if it's there awhile. Just an FYI for everyone, as it come up in a fast section.

Yesterday,Friday, The Blue trail was in great shape. On the Yellow about a half mile before the Grand River clinmb there is a log across the trail about a foot off the ground so have to get off bike to clear.

Also, at the end of the wooden bridge just before the Grand River climb it is very wet and muddy. Wasn't sure how deep water was so dismounted and walked around it.

Otherwise all is good and a great day to ride.

I hit ILRA earlier this week. Re route is great. Low area before main bridge was hard but under water. Area after short bridge was very muddy and dis mount should be followed there. The rest of the trail was safe, fine and fun.

Great reroute on blue. On the downhill just before you make hard right to rejoin the original trail it is already developing a lot of brake chatter.

I agree about the brake chatter at end of new reroute. Very bumpy before the right turn.

Monday morning the trail was great and noticing fewer walkers and bikers on the trails.

Slowly getting back to the "Before Times".

Any reports on the trail, since the storms last night? I'm hoping to hit it on my way home from work today, but don't want to go if it's a mess.
