Yesterday afternoon the trail wasn't completely ready. A lot of it was dry but I opted to stay off and let it dry out. Early morning before thawing out would be great.

I rode the trail last night around 6:30pm, and it was mostly dry. There are still a few soft spots in the usual spots. By this weekend, it should be in fantastic shape.

Rode Hines today. Trail is in good shape. Only two slick areas a few feet long, one at "that large horseshoe junction" in riverside, one in Lakeside. Enjoy.
Hope is not a good strategy.

The freeze thaw cycles are tough but before the thaw was great. Hard to believe it's April and I'm riding frozen dirt.

The trails are both perfect right now. Thanks to the trail crew for clearing the fallen trees so quickly, great job!

The new section of trail and bridge are nice! Thanks to all those responsible! Trail was in great shape for a ride on the new SS.

The trail doesn't get much better than it was today. I like the new sections but I have a question, does that sign post need to stay right smack in the center of the trail by the new trail segment behind the dentist office?

The trails were decent tonight considering the recent rain. The new section on lake view is sweet! Thanks to those that built it.

Lakeview and Riverview are in great shape. The new sections are very cool too. East of Levan there are a few trees down and the trail gets hard to find just before the dog park. East of Meriman there are several trees plugging up the entrance at the Bridge and the trail on top of the bluff is falling in to the river. The trails at the far east end of Hines are in rough shape from flooding and construction has forever changed the waterfall loop in Dearborn.

First time to Hines this year, really impressed with the updates. Conditions were great. While it's not as much of a workout as other trails, it is FUN! Really enjoyed the ride today, did 2 passes on Lake View and one on River View for 10 miles.

How's this trail in the fall & winter. Any organized night rides and/or snow rides? Is it a good trail in the winter or does it get too much hiking traffic?
