Condition and gate open/closures are updated almost daily on the dte energy trail facebook page.

Is night riding allowed? Do the gates get locked at a certain time?

Yes, night riding is allowed. Gates are locked according to overall conditions, but not related to time of day. Check the Facebook page for current status - but in this cold weather, it's OPEN until further notice.

Word on the street is that DTE is open for business....can anyone confirm that? And no I don’t have a facecrook Account, so please don’t tell me to check there - all the real riders use this state of the art site for all things mountain biking here in Michigan.

You don't need a FB account to read the DTE FB page. It's the only location we post trail conditions to.

DTE Big Kame & Winn loops were great today. Some sandy areas and still plenty of leaves on the trail. Perfect weather and trail was dry.

Trails were all good today, theres a cut off for the sugar loop, but its not there yet, they did start work on it a few days ago, looks like we have to wait until August...
