Yeah, we rode last night, and it was "nothing new at Lakeshore" for conditions as far as dampness goes. It was fine to ride last night, but any rain would have put that over edge.

Thanks to the workers who worked on the trail this year. I hadn't been there for a couple months and saw some new limestone and some berms that I thought were new. Thanks for the work on the trail!

Lakeshore Park / Tree Farm - we are in a good news/bad news/good news situation. The good news is that the areas that we have done repairs (even areas without armoring/fortifying) are holding up really well and sheeting water off as planned. The bad news is, there are many more areas that we haven't gotten to and are not drying out. However, they don't appear to be getting worse. The other good news is that the bulk of the trail is just fine, it's just that the bad areas are really bad.

So... the trail is good to ride, just go straight through the bad spots and try tamping down the ruts as you ride. We will continue to chip away at the bad spots.

Also, the trail will be JUST FINE for the TREE FARM RELAY, so don't hesitate to sign up! Many of the bad spots will be handled by race day, and the ones we don't get to will be fixed after. Get your teams together!

puddles throughout but very fun. most can be bunny hopped or just simply fly through them for some fun mud. rest of the course is very grippy and easy. only 1 or 2 really bad spots that need to be flattened before hardening.

The Tree Farm escaped the rain last night. The bits I rode this morning were in excellent shape (skipped the lost loop and miles 7 to 9). There's still the odd soft spot but no water or sloppy mud.

Lakeshore Park/Tree Farm is in great shape. We've been out taking care of the areas that hold water, and right now it is just perfect. If we get rain, some of the areas that we haven't gotten to will be wet, but I don't anticipate any major problems. Get out and ride. The great news is that the trail is going to be DIALED for the Tree Farm Relay. Rain or sine, it is going to be a blast.

Super dry out there today, some loose corners that make the ride "exciting".

We got about 15 minutes of hard rain near the farm. I just got back from doing a little trail work, and my repair spot was still sandy. Trail should be fine, with maybe a few puddles.
